Job Title:            Program Officer (Behavioral Specialist) (ACP)
Reports to:       senior health educator (IEC/BCC) 
Job purpose:    to support the development and implementation of strategies for behavioral theory and demand creation for HIV and AIDS services and combination HIV prevention
Key functions:
•    Providing technical inputs to the development implementation and monitoring and evaluation of national policies and strategies for behavior change communication
•    Providing the technical input in the development and dissemination of appropriate materials and messages on HIV and AIDS
•    Supporting the ministry of health and the implementing partners in devising strategies to create demand for HIV and AIDS services
•    Developing and implement capacity building strategies in the areas of IEC/BCC targeting national and districts stakeholders
•    Working with relevant institutions to ensure quality of IEC/BCC programs
•    Providing input in the development and complementation of protocols for behavioral surveillance survey and research covering both high risk groups and general population
•    Working with other partners and institutions to ensure that combination HIV prevention is appreciated and implemented at national and district level
Qualifications:
•    Must possess an honors’ degree in social sciences arts or equivalent from a recognized university
•    Must possess of a masters degree in social sciences, public health or epidemiology
•    Training in social research methods and behavior change communication for health from reputable institutions will be an added advantage
Experience:
•    Must have at least three years relevant working experience in implementing HIV and AIDS releted programs at national or regional level
Competence:
•    Through knowledge and understanding of the national HIV and AIDS program and strategies
•    Demonstrated ability to develop IEC/BCC programmes
•    A team player with good negotiation, interpersonal, networking and communication skills
•    Familiarity with commonly used computer packages

Job purpose:    to coordinate and guide the promotion of condom use for HIV and sexually transmitted infection prevention in the country
Key functions:
•    Participating in the formulation of technical policies and guidelines for condom promotion and distribution in the country
•    Providing technical assistance to implementing partners, districts and facilities who support condom promotion and distribution using a variety of approaches
•    Participating in the development of training and instructional materials and in capacity building activities targeting districts, facilities and other health workers at various levels
•    Participating in the development of relevant work plans and implementation of activities
•    Preparing programs and activities reports as well as other programmatic reports
•    Working with NDA and other relevant institutions to ensure quality of condom supplies at all levels
•    Working with relevant technical units and institutions to quality and project condom needs for the country
Qualifications:
•    must possess a degree in medicine, nursing, education, social science or any other related and relevant field
•    Must possess a masters degree in any of the above fields   
•    Possession of a post graduate qualification in behavior change communication or social marketing will be an added advantage
Experience:
•    Must have at least three years relevant working experience in health promotion or social marketing at national or regional level
Competences:
•    Well versed with current national and global HIV prevention strategies and plans
•    Demonstrable knowledge and skills in condom promotions
•    A team player with good negotiation, interpersonal, networking and communication skills
•    Familiarity with commonly used computer packages e.g. power point, ms word, internet and ms excel

Job Title:            Coordinator Laboratory Information Management System Officer
Reports to:       head CPHL 
Job purpose:    to provide comprehensive technical, administrative and managerial support in developing and maintaining the laboratory LIMS


Key functions:
•    Designing a comprehensive laboratory information management systems
•    Coordinating the roll out of the laboratory information management systems to the various levels of the health care system
•    Identifying training needs and participate in the development/implementation of LIMS training courses
•    Participating in planning and budget for the laboratory sector
•    Monitoring and evaluation progress of the rollout of the LIMS and take appropriate actions to ensure enhance rollout
•    Supporting the use of HMIS laboratory based data and surveillance data to estimate disease burden and incidence at the district level as well as inform the quantification and forecasting of laboratory regents, supplies and commodities
•    Preparing and submitting periodic programme and activity reports to the relevant authorities


Qualifications:
•    Must possess a bachelors degree in statistics or any other relevant degree from a recognized university/institution
•    Must have a post graduate training in health informatics or biostatistics
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft package and statistical package e.g. SPS, STATA, Epiinfo is desirable

Experience:
•    At least three years relevant working experience in management health information systems at national or sub-national level
Competences:
•    Demonstrated knowledge of health information management
•    Self driven with good analytical skills
•    Knowledge of public health technical issues
•    Leadership, communication, negotiation and advocacy level
•    Must have a positive altitude and high tolerance to job pressure
